Psalm 62:1
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.

SILENCE

In this place of quiet rest
I listen to God, I hear Him best;
I sense the Spirit speaking still
Part of me, Part of God,
His conscious will

In this place of silent prayer
I speak to God, I meet Him here;
I walk with Jesus my Lord, my Shepherd
Guiding me, MOSTLY carrying me
On the narrow road of His Word

In this place of tears and pain
I cry to God, I trust His Name;
I work to remember He's in control
Alive in me, The Part of me
That makes me whole

In this place of joy and peace
I sing to God, I sound the best;
I hear my Savior singing too
Loving me, and keeping me
Always In tune

For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be
shaken. On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty
rock, my refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour
out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. [Selah]

We Christians must simplify our lives or lose untold treasures
on earth and in eternity. Modern civilization is so complex as
to make the devotional life all but impossible. The need for
solitude and quietness was never greater than it is today.
